The week was filled wit cooking and food-related and funs hands-on creative activities.

We took a culinary journey around the globe, using and valuing the importance of local and seasonal ingredients. Our aim was to make and share delicious food, develop culinary and valuable life skills, learn about the nutritional value of food and raise awareness of food sustainability and how to minimize food waste.

The made breakfast and lunch everyday from a different Continent. On some days we took home something to share with our families and on the final day we invited our parents for a show, share & celebrate event, serving Mezze boards inspired by food from the Middle East. We displayed our information posters, showed are painted and potted herb pots and dried flower tea light jars.

“Claire, I really wanted to thankful you for a wonderful week with my daughter. She loved it beyond words and hasn’t stopped talking about it. She made us the Japanese pancakes this AM and they were amazing. Thanks for going above and beyond.” Jenn 2023

Kids' Host High Tea Event

Making it real!

This was a great gift for grandparents and parents. An afternoon High Tea in the garden of WMK, overlooking the Credit River, prepared and served by talented WMK young chefs.

During the two Saturday’s prior to the event the kids came and baked treats for the high tea such as; chocolate brownies, lemon squares, shortbread, luxury scones and mini cupcakes. On the day of the event they came at noon to make finger sandwiches, set the table and help with final preparations. The food was prepared and served by the kids, along with a choice of tea and sparkling elderflower. This was a great opportunity to give purpose to their learning and for them to see the joy of putting their culinary skills to use by whipping up a sweet treat for those special to them.
