The Goodhawk Restaurant, Hockley

Last night Robert and I went to this rare gem of a place and had the best night. So much so we’re taking Robert’s dad and sister there next weekend. When you find something this good you just want to share it! Run by Natasha and Sean, both creative, talented people who were a lot of fun. The love that they have put into their business is obvious from the moment you walk through the door. Log fire burning, soft candle lighting, quirky and stylish decor - they have created an ambience that immediately makes you feel at home and if that doesn’t their welcome most definitely will.

Keith Froggett, the chef-owner of Scaramouche, has teamed up with his son Ben to establish Greystones Restaurant & Lounge. I learnt about this iconic restaurant through a friend of mine, beautiful Veia, who again I met whilst working in the Kitchen at Heatherlea, who then went on to work as a chef in the Cafe there. Such a cool restaurant, serving wonderful food in an stylish and comfortable setting.

A wonderful butcher & fresh produce shop near Guelph Lake. I learnt about it from a friend of mine, Steve Aspinall, who I had the pleasure of working with at both Heatherlea Farm Shoppe but also later on with a few collaborative , Woolen Mill Kitchen & Goose and Gander Eat & Educate dinner event projects. Steve is a talented chef, exceptional & experienced butcher, grafter and overall top block! He is now the owner of Wellington Country Marketplace. and I know will do great things with it.
