Preserve the Season: Ferments, Pickles and Prints

Wednesday 27th August, 10-3 pm

Preserve the Season and capture the flavours of summer and nourish your winter table.

Join Fabienne Good, a talented local artist and myself for an immersive workshop dedicated to the art of traditional food preservation. You’ll learn how to pickle peak-season summer produce and master the basics of fermentation—from crunchy sauerkraut and fiery kimchi. We will teach you how to make the most of seasonal ingredients and transform simple vegetables into probiotic-rich pantry staples.

Fabienne will also be teaching you a unique and basic printing technique, called cyanotype or sun-printing, which will tap into your creative spirit and be a lot of fun.

What’s included:

  • All ingredients and equipment

  • Step-by-step guidance and recipe handouts

  • Jars of your own pickles and ferments.

  • A lunch of pickles, dips, cheese, sourdough, chutneys and more …

Spaces are limited. Book your place now and start preserving the season.

Creativity on the Credit

Saturday August 30th, 9-4 pm

Fabienne Good, a talented local artist, is joining me to run a hands-on workshops blending art and culinary exploration in the calming and beautiful riverside setting of Woolen Mill Kitchen in Erin.

This collaborative day experience invites you to reconnect with nature and creativity through mindful making. Try your hand at upcycled weaving and inventive, mindful farm to table cooking that celebrates seasonal local ingredients and playful techniques. Whether you’re whizzing up a dressing, blending a sauce or creating a woven vessel, each activity offers a chance to unwind, slow down, reflect, and create with a deeper sense of creative intention.

Come for the creativity—stay for the connections, good energy, and river views.
