Mono Cliffs Inn, Mono
What a great find or rather tell! When I first worked at Heatherlea Farm Shoppe, when it’s current beautiful farm shop building was first opened, I meant Jason Cooney; a trained chef but also Heatherlea’s first butcher.
Jason now manages the Mono Cliffs Inn. On his recommendation, I took my Mum there during Covid restrictions, and wasn’t disappointed. The upstairs dining room is perfect for a leisurely lunch or dinner. In the summer months, the outside patio (which although cannot be booked) is wonderful and in the winter months, I LOVE the pub downstairs. I feels to me like I’m in a ‘lock-in’ in Ireland. The pub is full of atmosphere, cosy and warm and the Sunday roast, served from 4 onwards, is amazing. Why not start with a winter walk on a section of the nearby Bruce Trail or in Mono Cliffs Provincial Park and finish with a pub lunch, as a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday!
So in a nutshell, the food at the Mono Cliffs Inn is top notch and it’s a place you need to visit.
